There’s a common saying that “if you can imagine it, you can achieve it.” Wanna know the “flip” side that most people miss?

Everything that we know to be real had to be imagined first.

Humans have the power to bring things into existence; this power can be used for good or evil. And so imagine all things the evil dominant power of whiteness has brought (and continues to bring) into existence through practices, processes, policies, politics, laws, media—pretty much EVERY. DAMN. THING.

Here we go…

Imagine a woman’s uterus being more regulated than guns.

Imagine Dr. Suess being defended more than democracy.

Imagine Pepe Le Pew being valued more than Black lives.

Imagine a white woman so privileged and clueless about her own racism that she demands an investigation of others while continuing to reveal her own racism.

Imagine 253 bills being introduced that make it harder to vote than buy a gun.

Imagine being an insurrectionist senator whose job is more safeguarded and secure than our elections.

Imagine kneeling in peaceful protest causing more outrage than storming the capitol with weapons.

Imagine loud chants of “Kill Nancy Pelosi and Mike Pence” being more patriotic than the right to peacefully protest.

Imagine white people being more upset at hearing about racism than they are at actual racism.

Imagine it being easier to kill Black people and get away with it than it is to hold white people accountable.

Imagine a *pro-life* faction in this country being responsible for more deaths than any other faction.

Imagine experiencing a royal racism that’s so bad and needing to escape to the racism of the United States.

Imagine being white and profiting from racism and anti-racism.

Imagine living in the *greatest country in the world* and needing to educate Black folks on how to not be killed by white men.

Imagine being the perpetrators of racism and getting to decide what is and is not racist.

Imagine being the victim of racism and being told by racists that there’s no racism.
