This retreat is my “love letter” to Black women. And there are many reasons I settled on BodyHoliday for just us, one of which is their focus on 4 pillars of well-being—relaxation, therapeutic cares, exercise, nutrition. I invite you to explore their website for yourself. And once you recover from ooh-ing and ah-ing over the one spa treatment per day that is INCLUDED for each guest, I want you to imagine all the amazing things I have planned which track with the goal for us to REST, RESET, REENGAGE. Our agenda will include several workshops based on select exercises from my book, The WarriHER’s Playbook on Well-Being and Self-Advocacy….. to align with RESET and REENGAGE but not to overshadow REST. And I don’t know about you, but I may have settled for a roommate when I was in college, but not anymore. For almost 34 years, I’ve been with my hubs whom I love dearly, and I still find myself wanting my own room! LOL To balance our community time with individual REST, each attendee will have an ocean-view “you only” room. No roommate!

I don’t have to tell you that “we is tired!” Just the thought of getting away for a little bit outside of the U.S. to catch our breath and breathe while in each other’s company is giving me life. If you feel the same way then this “just us” experience is for you.
Here’s what you need to know:
We’ll be at BodyHoliday St. Lucia, an all-inclusive adult-centered resort. (they allow youth 12 and over)
Retreat duration is 5 nights/4 days.
All accommodations are single-occupancy, luxury ocean view (optimal rest sans a roommate).
Per-person cost is $3480 for the Oct 25 – 30 group and $4016 for the Dec 6 – 11 group, and includes airport transfers, all food and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, one spa treatment daily, fitness classes, non-motorized water sports, land sports, fitness and nutrition consultations, nightly shows, group activities/excursions, swag bag, and a surprise or two. Flights and optional travel insurance are not included.
If the cost is of concern, when you reserve your spot you can let me know you’re requesting sponsorship funds.
A deposit of $100 holds your spot and there’s a payment schedule for the rest.

10 our protective hairstyles won’t be the object of touch or curiosity
9️ nobody will demand to know why we never learned to swim
8️ we can make a big deal out of getting our hair wet accidentally…. knowing that we’ll be seen and understood…. because it IS a big deal
7️ there’s a very high chance that a Black woman (at least one) has whatever it is we need to borrow if we forgot to pack ours
6️ yours truly 😊 as a retreat leader who pays attention to details such as….a bathroom NOT fitted with a sole overhead rain-style shower head is way more important to us than having a blow dryer (I checked. There will be a Black woman friendly option)
5️ our tears won’t get anybody arrested or unalived….. and if we’re shedding tears …… it’s due to either having a breakthrough or laughing our azzes off at something
4️ we can halt any reference to IYKYK because the chances are that we’ll ALL know
3️ we can stay sayin’ *all the things* the way we wanna say them without code-switchin’
2️ we can expect seasoned food…. or at the very least, ample and varied seasonings to be provided table-side 😂
