Theresa M. Robinson

Engaging Keynote Speaker

Keynote speaker Theresa M Robinson smiling and wearing a pink top

I thrive on engaging and interacting with audiences to get them thinking, feeling, learning, and even laughing.

Audiences will feel challenged, encouraged, motivated and activated at their primal core. And they’ll leave with their true purpose ignited, allowing them to truly thrive at work and at home.

You don’t need to be a psychologist to know that we perform at our absolute best when we are in tune and fully aligned personally and professionally.

I teach people smart strategies to “own your life.” I help organizations to create a permanent can-do culture of well-being and belonging that unlocks available talent on an individual, team and global level.

Keynote, webinar, and break-out session topic areas include:

  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
  • Work-Life Balance
  • Purpose
  • Wellness
  • Gender Equity
  • Racial Equity (Anti-Racism)
  • Life Strategies for Women
  • Leadership
  • Team Building

My promise to you:

  • Professionalism – I’m the consummate professional. I take the time to understand your needs, over-prepare, and then over-deliver. You could say, I’m obsessed with ensuring the audience’s experience is meaningful, relevant, and fun.
  • Passion & Expertise – Fortunately, I’m at a place in my life where I’m privileged and smart enough to speak only on topics about which I’m passionate, on which I have expertise, and on which I can have the greatest impact.
  • Customization – Your keynote address will be highly customized. I do not offer off-the-shelf presentations. Every speech is custom-tailored for the audience and aligned with the your goals.
  • Audience Engagement – Too many slides and a podium hinder audience engagement and participation. I use slides sparingly and only stay behind the podium when it is client-mandated for safety reasons. Videographers often comment that I make their jobs much more challenging than usual due to my highly interactive style.

In-Person and Virtual Formats: 30-60 minute keynote, 60-90 minute webinar, 0.5-1 day workshop or 2 hour breakout session.

Program Description: “I don’t have work-life balance. I want it. I need it.” If you have ever thought this yourself or said it out loud, then this session is for you. Would you be surprised to discover that many people have never defined for themselves what their work-life balance would look like, sound like, feel like. Work-life balance is not a one size fits all, not should it be formulaic.

This session takes you through a 4-step process to realistically determine a balance that is customized and tailored to fit you-because it’s designed by YOU. Based on an assessment of your values in determining what and who is important to you, this session will move you from “missing” balance to “having” a balance that is both realistic and fitting.

This session focuses on 4 steps to creating work-life balance that fits:

  1. acknowledge your responsibility
  2. create a declaration of truth
  3. determine your values
  4. design your fit

WELL-BEING FOR LIFE AND BUSINESS

In-Person and Virtual Formats: 45-60 minute keynote, 60-90 minute webinar, 0.5-1 day workshop or 2 hour breakout session.

Program Description: Consider today’s work environment – the pressure to perform, to collaborate, to achieve, to innovate, to take risks, to anticipate and stay ahead of the trends. It’s exhausting! Amidst these challenges and demands, many of us slip into the trap of surviving instead of thriving. And though it’s frequently said that “there is no ‘I’ in team,” current engagement studies reveal however that “there is a ‘ME’ in team” – a “ME” that is critical To one’s ability to deliver business outcomes. This session emphasizes how taking care of self (work-life integration, health, and happiness) maximizes performance.

This session focuses on 5 main well-being strategies:

  1. Fuel the body-includes a golden rule of nutrition that can be a game-changer if you follow it
  2. Get moving-even exercise-haters can get onboard with these strategies that can be integrated into the work day without breaking a sweat
  3. Rest and recover-adopt these “counter-intuitive” measures to perform better
  4. Seek out joy-this core component of well-being is unfortunately under-rated
  5. Connect with others-the power of community fosters a sense of belonging which boosts engagement

OPENING MINDS AND HEARTS: FOSTERING A CLIMATE OF INCLUSION FOR ALL

In-Person and Virtual Formats:30-60 minute keynote, 60-90 minute webinar, 0.5-1 day workshop or 2 hour breakout session.

Program Description: Drawing on the head-heart-hands paradigm, this session picks up where many D&I initiatives fall short. Instead of a review of the business case for D&I (head), this session goes deeper by focusing on the human case for inclusion (heart) and invites everyone to be a part of leveraging each person’s full potential to be at their best (hands).

An inclusive environment provides a state of relational safety whereby individuals feel respected, appreciated, valued and supported. In this state, individuals thrive and perform at their best. This session stresses behaviors, skills, and attitudes that drive inclusion and provides strategies that contribute to making inclusion the default and the norm for how we come together to get work done.

  • Identify instances of devaluing others through microaggressions
  • Recognize different ways of conveying respect, value, appreciation, and support
  • Establish a framework to increase inclusion
  • Lead by example and be a part of the solution

WARRIHER™ TACTICS: SELF-ADVOCACY FOR WOMEN IN BUSINESS

In-Person and Virtual Formats: 30-60 minute keynote, 60-90 minute webinar, 0.5-1 day workshop or 2 hour breakout session.

Program Description: Despite gains in gender equity and inclusion in the workplace, the fact still remains that women continue to be under-represented, under-regarded, and underpaid in the workplace. Different standards and different rules that exist for women, which are perpetuated by micro-behaviors and practices (informal and formal) in the workplace. In addition to collectively chipping away at systems, women can use the power of individual voice to speak up and act on their own behalf. Because self-advocacy is a skill, women in business can practice and gain more mastery in it. Some women, though, describe self-advocacy as hard because it requires them to take on behaviors for which they are often condemned and for which men are praised. This session walks women through a series of tactics that lay the groundwork for self-advocacy actions and behaviors that each woman can establish on her own terms-actions and behaviors that women can implement into their daily lives both inside and outside of the workplace. Tactics include:

  • determining your primary and secondary profile (overachiever, over-committer, over-accommodator, over-isolator)
  • identifying and eliminating self-sabotaging barriers
  • improving your “I-Sight”
  • cultivating your “no”
  • saying those 3 little words-“I need help.”
  • growing your big ask
  • igniting your badass-ery
  • mentoring yourself for the long-term

What Clients Are Saying About Theresa

Theresa Robinson is one of the most dynamic speakers I have had the opportunity to experience in the 22 years I have worked in Organizational Development. Theresa is an excellent example of full engagement both in her personal life and in her seminars. She captures the audience’s attention from the moment she steps on the stage and she continues to engage them throughout the entire presentation. Theresa gives realistic life tools participants can use to change behaviors and ultimately change their lives for the better.

Jana Nelson

then Organizational Development Specialist, Ministry Health Care

Theresa Robinson is an extraordinary speaker and facilitator! She is dynamic, engaging, funny, and can be in your face when needed. Most importantly our clients love her! In an unprecedented event one of our major clients, a multi-billion dollar firm, requested Theresa as their performance coach instead of one of our founders…and she knocked it out of the park! Truly Theresa has achieved mastery at the highest level as a presenter.

Chris Osorio

then President, Human Performance Institute

Theresa is a dynamic trainer and educator. She captivates her audience with her animated style, high energy, compassion, and sense of humor. She challenges participants to embark upon a journey to self-discovery and self-empowerment, while providing the tools and techniques to bring people’s aspirations into reach. Better yet, she leaves audiences ready and willing to take action that can transform both their professional and personal lives.

Terry Geraghty

then Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources, Manhattan Associates

Theresa is one of the most energetic, engaged, and inspiring facilitators I’ve known! She connects well with each audience, cares deeply about their growth and development, and masterfully challenges them to be better than they thought possible. I’ve also seen her tailor her message and approach to reach a group “where they are”. I can’t say enough great things about Theresa!

Debra Ross

then Director, Partner Learning and Development, H-E-B Grocers

Rarely do you find someone who can connect with both the head and the heart in a way that Theresa can. She is inspirational without being sappy and genuinely humble. She connects with the whole person, not just part of them.

Kirk Perry

then Vice President and General Manager , Procter & Gamble

Theresa Robinson packs true power in her motivational toolkit -intelligence, impact, emotion, humor, spirituality- it’s all in there! During our sessions together, Theresa empowered me to dig deep within to rediscover my ultimate purpose for living.
