This iCARE™ course is an exclusive opportunity reserved for Senior Leaders who racially identify as White and are not beginners on their anti-racism journey. This course provides a space for leaders to engage in confidential conversation, contemplation, and committed action. It also includes a 30-minute post-course one-on-one coaching session. As part of a cohort of leaders from different organizations, leaders can engage, share, and learn in a safe and confidential environment. In other words, iCARE™ is both an immersion experience and a community.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
- Half-Day (4 hours with a 15-minute break)
- Half-Hour Post-Course One-on-One Coaching (to be scheduled)
- Virtual Class size 4 to 12
- Investment of $1500 per participant
This interactive experience is designed to take participants on a deep personal journey with a targeted focus on anti-Black racism, inclusion, and belonging. iCARE™ prioritizes creating a safe space for small cohorts to engage in and be challenged by candid and courageous conversations about race that lead to understanding and personal transformation. When each person takes individual responsibility for unlearning racism, it can result in an inclusive and equitable environment for all. Though the specific elements of the experience are customized and tailored based on the online assessment and based on in-the-moment course experiences, each iCARE™ course ends with action planning and accountability.
Outcomes:
iCARE™ will increase your ability to
- Model anti-racist inclusive leadership and empower others to do the same.
- Identify and interrupt subtle and non-subtle racism in self and in others.
- Be more self-aware and progress on your personal journey.
- Be more confident in addressing policies and processes.
- Troubleshoot challenges and collaborate on solutions.
- Apologize for mis-steps and move forward.

*Course modalities include leader-centered #DoTheWork scenarios, mini case studies, “REAL DEIL” challenges, “Quick Takes,” role plays, polls, and journaling.
*To foster a safe experience (in this context, safety does not equate to comfort) and in keeping with the unique and confidential nature of this experience, only one leader from an organization may enroll per course date, and each cohort is limited to 12 participants who each must sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).

Theresa M. Robinson

The workshop was engaging, well-paced, thought-provoking, and informative. It built on previous sessions we'd had with the facilitator to really cement key themes, and it culminated with practical takeaways that we'll use immediately.
On the journey to becoming a better leader, especially in the areas of inclusion and being actively anti-racist, I needed a safe space to get uncomfortable. This course provided both that safety, as well as an understanding of where I have more work to do. It's not easy nor comfortable, but it's valuable as an employee, a leader, and especially as a human.
